I’ve been away in NYC all week, and I go back tomorrow. So today is like, the coveted Saturday, even though there was questions of going to the beach.
I was in the Upper East Side yesterday and we met this older French woman. I’m hoping she’s there again so I can buy a painting. The apartment is really amazing though. Now I understand the “people in high places” term and why it’s so important.
We’re taking my cousin to the MET soon so she can see the upper level paintings. She’s going to really love it, so that should be fun.
Everyone in my one class is extremely tense and uptight. You can tell when someone walks into class in the morning that they’re intimidated. It’s pretty hilarious though, everyone with their shifty eyes.
But it’s really funny because these kids say they’re passionate. That they want it, it’s what they need in their lives. But I feel like they have no opinion. They do all of their work, and well, and diligently, but what’s the point? It’s all rewritable and nobody is taking a risk. Every kid thinks they’re the next Marc and it’s dizzying. But who knows, maybe something really great will come out of it all.
