Paris Fashion Week

Fashion sighs after trends. I want timeless elegance. Fashion has no time. I do. I say.: Hello Lady, how can I help you? Fashion has no time to even ask such a question, because it is constantly concerned with finding out: What will come next? It is more about helping women to suffer less, to attain more freedom and independence )

I heard the news
I'll send a card
Cellar door, Friday night
Long johns, hold tight
Put it on a page
Put it on a line
Get the story down

My Neighbor Satan

From Tommy's bed, note the Wii controller. Mario Kart is extremely addicting.

Incubus was really great. We got a good spot, sound was amazing, everything was really good. At one point some stupid kids dropped a blunt, which means there was a massive search party of "It's the last one!"

Virginia was nice, but way too humid. I had a lot of fun at Tommy's and it was nice to finally see him.

So boring. I know. I know. I know.

Beauty

"Yesterday, a little kid pointed to me and said “Boy!” I love how toddlers can be more aware of the gender we intend to be. Most grown-ups pay more attention to the gender we’re supposed to be."

"It's so funny sometimes when I see how hard kids try to be what's known as cool. You know what's cool today? It's to have your voice in place. That's it, you know. Very few people can actually have that voice. Everyone else is echoes."

XXY

The other night I (finally) watched XXY. An Argentine film following Alex, a fifteen year old intersex person, having been lived as female with the aid of medicines to suppress masculine characteristics. Alex’s struggles are harshly real. The issue is handled delicately, showing distinction between both sides fairly.
But really my favorite part of the movie is the contrast of Alex. There’s deep brutality against them, which highlights the inevitable vulnerability, but Alex’s attitude and intensity is direct and surely apparent.
The issue of gender identity is showed rather realistically, and calls for the viewer to have some sense of mind. There is light symbolism that reflects the general idea and mood of the film. In the end Alex is an almost valiant icon of adolescence. Which overall, there is a defiant search for acceptance and self, screaming a compassion for beauty and love avoid discrimination.

Just Breathe

This month has been really great. A massive roll over, and observation of what I really want my life to be. The month was an almost perfect balance. Just great personal harmony.
I was able to see really great stuff, and meet amazing people.
I hope everything is having a great summer so far. It downpoured on me while I was in the East Village! But I was close to the NRW so it was all good B^]
Tomorrow I'm going for a bike ride and hopefully I can push myself to paint...even though I have three books to read and a workbook to do.
Oh well.

Hungry

Today I have to:
-Create a F/W 09-10 mood board
-Clean
-Get a new door
-Cut&Dye Hair

Tomorrow I go back to Brooklyn, which will be fun. Some girls I've met in the month all got together and bought me ice cream for my birthday (while I was trying to piss, awkward, but extremely nice gesture).

I love beautiful people.
And I'm really starting to realize what beauty is.
So many people have come into my life in an extremely short amount of time. And I just feel extremely overwhelmed, but most of all thankful. We've got stuff to teach each other, yunno? Things have just been really great. Lots of sunny days ahead.

what?

So Robert Geller is putting out a collection called Seconds, which is cut and sew. Everything is under $100 too.
I really like Robert Geller, and I think some of the pieces are nice. They're obviously simple, but the colors and cuts are great.

From tonight through Monday though I'll be creating three mood boards though, so I'm attempting at catching up on internet business.

Has anyone seen the August ELLE? I'm sorry, but Miley Cyrus is looking amazing in it.

My favorite two out of the latest Damir Doma collection.
Tomorrow is a long day, hope everyone is having a good summer so far.

COLOR

I’ve been away in NYC all week, and I go back tomorrow. So today is like, the coveted Saturday, even though there was questions of going to the beach.
I was in the Upper East Side yesterday and we met this older French woman. I’m hoping she’s there again so I can buy a painting. The apartment is really amazing though. Now I understand the “people in high places” term and why it’s so important.
We’re taking my cousin to the MET soon so she can see the upper level paintings. She’s going to really love it, so that should be fun.

Everyone in my one class is extremely tense and uptight. You can tell when someone walks into class in the morning that they’re intimidated. It’s pretty hilarious though, everyone with their shifty eyes.
But it’s really funny because these kids say they’re passionate. That they want it, it’s what they need in their lives. But I feel like they have no opinion. They do all of their work, and well, and diligently, but what’s the point? It’s all rewritable and nobody is taking a risk. Every kid thinks they’re the next Marc and it’s dizzying. But who knows, maybe something really great will come out of it all.

EAT THOSE MOTHERF'N DOGS

GUESS WHAT TOMORROW IS GUYS
GUESS
GUESS
YAH, NATHAN'S, THAT'S WHAT TOMORROW IS
WHO IS REALLY EXCITED?
THAT'S RIGHT, I AM, YEAH, HELL YEAH

Sat all in Mahattan Bay today which is really amazing. Just every different town on the water's edge setting off their own fireworks. It's just this center of reflecting colors and really, it's quite pretty.
Tomorrow I'm going to a party, and then Sunday is NYC. And then...almost all week is NYC. Yay.
I've gotten lovely sunburn, and it goes great with my platinum hair.
Everyone have a happy and safe weekend!

EBEREETENG I SAI

Who else loves terrible English lyrics?
But isn't it ironic that cheesy Engrishy lyrics sound amazing from a non-native English speaker?

Electric Eel Shock's songs basically do that for me.
And Brain Failure, and Dir en grey, and SADS, and....
